Leakes Corp of Loyalists, 1777. Amazingly, according to some scholars' best research, at least 30% of the American colonists were Loyalists, hoping for the success of the Crown over the rebels. Several groups were formed and supplied by the British, such as Leake's Corps. Their fates after the rebels won was ominous, and many fled north to Canada.
