Blogger\Photographer says: I don’t know about you, but if I could only use one tool in photoshop for the rest of my life, it would be Curves. It can do so much! Not only can it lighten up your images, but it can make your colors and contrast pop by making an S curve. To do that, just add a second point in the curves window, and drag it down a bit. This is pictured here.

Dress, early 1900s. Ecru net that is intricately embroidered with floral and leaf motifs in the tambour style and enhanced with appliqued lace and cut-work. The cut and embroidery frame the natural curves of the body, while the neckline and sleeves are trimmed with cotton ruffles, ribbon, and lace trims. The gown closes with hooks and eyes down the back. It is shown here over a pink dress that was not part of the ensemble.
