The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. Another one of my favorite books. Murakami's books are like your dreams, while you're in them they totally make sense, but if you try to explain them to someone else they just look at you confused.
After Dark - Haruki Murakami. This book reads like the jazz tunes he references, slow and skilled, observant, blunt yet meandering. The imagery is vibrant but the meaning is elusive. A waking dream in the hours of darkness.
The Ruined Map by Kobo Abe I love collaged book covers because they give it a much more personal feel. I really like the overlapping of the title and the author's name, and the colour scheme make it look old and worn (matching the 'ruined' title).
