Gino Boccasile Illustrations

The son of a perfumer, iconic Italian illustrator Gino Boccasile (14.07.1901 - 10.05.1952) was born in Bari, where he completed studies at the local fine art school. Early in his youth, he lost his left eye, when a drop of quicklime fell into it while he drank from a fountain. A supporter of Benito Mussollini, he produced propaganda material for his government, including several racist and anti-semitic posters.
