The section of the Laugavegur between Alftavatn and Emstrur-Botnar was wild! After leaving the hut you quickly leave the lush greenery of Alftavatn behind and the landscape transitions into the broad black sand flats punctuated with these neon green mountain and hills! It's incredible how much the terrain changes over the course of your journey... and every part of it is amazing!
