Young Package | 20 years of packaging !

Young Package is a competition in packaging design. It is meant for young designers of up to 30 years of age. Since its foundation in 1996, the Young Package competition has achieved an international reputation and a distinctive position among competitions for young designers. Every year, several hundred participants from the whole world send their entries.

The story of the holder of the Red Dot Design Award began in Young Package competition 17 years ago. Ladislav Škoda graduated from School of Applied Arts and now he is a chief of designer in the Tescoma company. He won the Young Package competition with a packaging for four cans. Since then Ladislav Škoda has become a world-renowned designer.

Zbyněk Soukup succeeded in the Young Package competition in 2009. He studied interior design at the University of Jan Evangelista in Ústí nad Labem. He won the Good Student Design 2009 with a project called ‘lamp and nightstand Living Cube’ and he won the LG Design Contest.

Designer Jiří Lešetický who studied at SUŠP and VŠUP won second place in the university category of Young Package competition in 2005. Now he runs his own design studio called POP design focused on Point of Purchuase materials.
