On the wall of the tower you can see some small ancient frescoes and a recent painting of the winged lion symbol of the republic of Venice. In addition to the tower you can see the outline of one of the mountains that mark the beginning of the Valsugana valley which flows the river Brenta.
The massacre of Bassano del Grappa - On September 26, 1944 in Bassano del Grappa Bassano 31 young partisans, captured after a raid on the Grappa and other nearby mountains, were hanged on a tree-in the town in Veneto. This action by the military Nazi fascists claimed the lives of more than 400 anti-fascists and the deportation of another 500.
