Though Naples is the land of sun and despite Caserta being less than 1 h train journey, March proved to be unusually cold and.. here you have a better testimonial than me!  Doomed to suffer the icy winds and the suffocating warm for the rest of his life on the Reggia di Caserta main entrance wall

Marble everywhere "It has to be the most glorious and rich royal palace all over the world" demanded Charles of Borbonis.. but he was summoned to the Spain kingdom before the Reggia was over and never stayed there

The palace construction started in 1770and.. it is still going on unfortunately  I am thankful people are working and taking care of it..though a sense of disarray and misery shows everywhere.  I felt so unhappy and frustrated.. so much beaty and elegance and so much carelessness
