Apulian-Corinthian helmet, Southern Italy, first half of the 5th century B.C. Wrought in one piece out of sheet bronze, at the top a bronze fork and the remains of two lateral holders. The cheeks engraved with a large and very graceful boar on on each side, the surrounds of the eyes, nose and helmet edges decorated with a thin band of delicate herring-bone patterns and tiny circles 22.5 cm high.
