OOP means Out Of Place. Things like the Antikythera Mechanism, the Baghdad Batteries and the Flying Machines on stone walls in India and Egypt.

Ostraka (c. 500 BCE) in The Spurlock Museum. Each year, the Athenians could choose to hold an ostracism. If so, citizens could scratch the names of those they wanted banished from the city on an "ostrakon" a broken piece of pottery recycled as a ballot, which they placed in urns. The one most often named would be "ostracised" from the city (for ten years).

Derinkuyu, early Byzantine Empire, begun as early as 7th century BC, reached greatest size 500-1000 CE (5 stories deep, room for 20,000 + livestock, & more). Dug beneath homes into the soft sandy volcanic rock of the Turkish region of Cappadocia. Thrived during the middle ages, a model for surviving apocalypse. Massive rocks covered entrances, air shafts kept it ventilated. Eventually, long shafts connected with other underground cities. Sealed up after the 10th century, was reopened in 1969.
