This is a 5-course INFORMAL setting. The number of courses don't distinguish between "formal" and "informal." Some distinguishing details of the FORMAL dinner are: 1) A man will wear evening attire (tuxedo) to a formal dinner. 2) Glasses of demitasse, brandy and liqueurs accompany the food. 3) Seating arrangement protocols are observed. Good manners are always the right thing to bring to a dining experience--from the least informal to the most formal.
