The Mongols were terrifying but yet very accepting. Genghis Khan was illiterate, he was open to new idea and wanted a peaceful empire. He created the new capital in Karakorum and hired talented individuals from all conquered regions. He followed shamanistic Mongol beliefs but was tolerate to other religions. He used knowledge from Muslim and Chinese to build an administrative structure. Their conquest brought a lot of peace to Asia.
