Un crâne est une relique peu commune qui ne laisse pas indifférents nos regards européens. Traces tangibles et matérielles des ancêtres défunts, les reliques maintiennent le souvenir du défunt, lien entre le monde des vivants et celui des morts.  Un culte important est rendu à ces reliques au travers de prières et de sacrifices. Elles sont même informées des décisions importantes que doit prendre un individu ou une communauté.
