This West Village Town House Is a Flamboyant Romp With Its Own Speakeasy
As one famous fictional columnist and fashionista said, “Anything is possible. This is New York.” And if Francis Toumbakaris—Greek immigrant, former ballet dancer, handyman, general contractor, and now founder and lead interior designer of his own firm, Francis Interiors—proves anything with his latest project, a five-story West Village town house, it’s that Carrie Bradshaw was right. Inside Kendall Jenner’s Vintage Christmas Wonderland
There are no Charlie Brown Christmas trees in the Kardashian-Jenner world. But come December at Kendall Jenner’s Los Angeles home, you also won’t find decor like what has famously decked the halls of her sisters’ and mother’s mansions during Christmases past. Jenner’s approach to holiday decor is a bit more traditional—simple green garlands decorated with pine cones, classic trees, a vintage Santa Claus—but no less beautiful and festive. A London Victorian Gets a Feminine, Pattern-Filled Expansion
Interior designer Emma Ainscough and Smith Brooke Architects craft a family-friendly home without forgoing formality. “The wife was up for embracing a certain amount of color and pattern, which is what I love so much,” enthuses Ainscough. And given the scale and ceiling heights of the Victorian house, it was “easier to incorporate that without it feeling overbearing.” Photo by Kensington Leverne, Styled by Anna Sheridan
Visit Fashion Designer Harris Reed’s Extravagant London Apartment
After acquiring the property in October 2023, Reed enlisted the help of his godfather, Harry Harris of 4Corners Design, who introduced him to Georgina Wood, the founder and creative director of London-based interior practice Studio Clementine. “Georgina was great about putting up with my crazy ideas but also being realistic with budget,” says Reed. “She was very good at understanding how to make small spaces seem bigger—it was a very easy connection.” For Wood, this was a dream boundary-pushing project. “I love color and knew Harris was going to be so creative. No idea was too crazy or outlandish—he was open to anything.” Photo by Miguel Flores-Vianna, Styled by Joan Hecktermann
Inside a Sophisticated Aspen Home Nestled in the Mountains
Growing up amid the mountains of Colorado has long informed architect Cristof Eigelberger’s approach to designing homes. His aesthetic ideals of form and proportion—along with his own love of the great outdoors—has been the catalyst for creating properties that blend seamlessly into their rustic, natural environments. So when a New York client commissioned him to build a home in the shadow of the Aspen mountains, Eigelberger employed his usual dexterous handling of material and texture to create a ranch-style residence rooted in modernism. Le Creuset Stoneware Mini Round Cocotte
Hopefully we don’t have to sell you on the merits of a baby Le Creuset. It’s one of the sweetest gift ideas out there for people who love to cook side dishes, mini loaves of bread, or a teensy dessert. #sponsored

Guns N’ Roses Bassist Duff McKagan and Susan Holmes’s Wildly Whimsical English Tudor in Seattle
“The kitchen is always the heart of the home,” Holmes-McKagan says. Meta Calcutta Carrara honed marble countertops, an Ann Sacks bullnose gloss tile backsplash, and custom RH pendants create an elegant setting for what McKagan calls “a chef’s kitchen. The Lacanche stove is the shit,” he adds. “It came from France—Susan can cook.” Photo by Douglas Friedman
This Enchanting Montecito Home Has a Life of Its Own
Kelly Bergin respectfully restored the roots of the wellness entrepreneur Amanda Chantal Bacon’s historic house in Southern California. “There’s something that feels natural and organic about it, I think a home can feel healing in certain ways,” Bacon says about the aesthetic of her house. Inside a Historic Portland Manse
Jessica Helgerson Interior Design spent five years thoughtfully refreshing a 1912 redbrick residence. A vestibule was taken over to house the extra-large mirrored refrigerator, painted in Farrow & Ball’s India Yellow. The arched doorway echoes the windows lining the home’s façade. “She’s a super-loving mama and loves to cook,” Helgerson says of homeowner Elizabeth Miller. “She’s always making amazing food and having big dinners where everything’s from scratch.” Photo by Aaron Leitz
Inside a Chicago Home Where New York Cool Meets California Calm
Centered by Design incorporated well-curated antiques to give a house old soul. Jennifer Shorto fabric covers the Doorman bar stools in the kitchen, where lanterns by Visual Comfort hang above the marble-clad island. A second sink (there is another larger one on the perimeter of the room) proves especially useful when the family is hosting friends and loved ones. Photo by Taylor Hall O’Brien
Inside a West Village Apartment That Channels 1920s Glamour
Designer Erik Gensler combined two adjoining apartments and implemented his fantasy interior narrative. One of Gensler’s favorite lines from architect Jim Joseph was, “You’re not going to have an open kitchen, are you?” And indeed no such anachronistic anomaly exists here. Instead, the very much enclosed galley kitchen feels timeless. Photography by Trevor Tondro, Styled by Robert Rufino
An Ode to Chrome Decor: 37 Shiny Objects With a Touch of Luxury
Lately, it’s been hard not to notice chrome decor popping up everywhere. And with the Middle Ages modern movement bringing chain mail back in all its glory, there has never been a better time to experiment if you’re feeling chrome curious. This Haussmannian kitchen is a master class in accessorizing with chrome to make the wood tones pop. Photo: Élise Helm
