Greek red-figure miniature chous, 420-400 B.C. The choes were given as gifts to the 3 years old boys who used them for their first wine tasting.These rituals were taking place during the Anthesteria, the Athenian festival held every February. The scenes on these small jugs were closely related to the life of children: here the boy crawls to the left where lies a chous; he looks with admiration on a bunch of grapes that symbolize Dionysos, the god of the vine, 6.2 cm. Sicilian red-figured lekanis, attribuited to the Lentini Manfria Group, 310-300 B.C. The lid with a seated draped female, leaning back on her outstretched right arm, wearing a peplos with dotted borders, earrings, a necklace and bracelets, a radiate stephane in her bound hair, looking back at the nude winged figure of Eros aiming his bow and arrow at a swan,  the knob with double palmette and two dotted rosettes, details in added white, 20 cm wide with handles. Each with a lentoid body, the shoulders with a red-figured female head and a female head in added white in profile, palmettes and tendrils in between, the askos with a high arching handle and a spout with a wide flaring mouth, a molded animal head serving as the spout, a perforated filter at the center, askos 18 cm long.
