Paestan large red-figure hydria in the manner of Asteas, 350-340 B.C. Argus, the nymph, Io, and Hermes. Io is seated upon a rocky outcrop wearing a delicate peplos with embroidered edging. Upon her head is a jewelled diadem with cow horn frontlet. Her name is inscribed above her. Beneath the handles is painted the profile bust of a female wearing a sakkos and jewels, 49 cm high.
