Daunian pottery nestoris, Daunian III, 550-400 B.C. Of buff colored fabric, the biconical body on a tall stem and disk foot, with a wide flaring rim, the high arching strap handles with rotellae at their peaks, the handles surmounted by large pomegranate-shaped finials and framed by raised points on either side at the shoulders, with orange, red and black painted ornament, the shoulders with bands of opposing triangles and crosshatching, 37.7 cm high. Iapygian terracotta female figure, Daunian III, 400-300 B.C. Hand modelled, standing with her hands positioned in front of her hips, wearing an ample dress with applied ornament on her chest, possibly representing fowl, three applied disks on each side of her buttocks, adorned with a beaded necklace and a headdress, her eyes and brows incised, her nose pinched, her abundant long hair falling in two tresses in front, eight tresses gathered in back, 16.7 cm high.
