World-renowned photographer Sebastião Salgado went on an epic eight-year journey across the globe, including the Antarctic and South Sandwich Islands, to document the last pristine areas of the planet. The resulting photographs, collected in the project Genesis, show us what will be lost if we do not mobilize now to protect the world from global warming. "The shadows of perilous climate change falls quietly across the images. But this project restored my soul."
