An Ancient Tree • One day my mother took us to see an ancient tree. I remember that my brothers, like anyone would be, were impressed by its size, so imposing yet reassuring. However,  I was fascinated by the visceral connection that existed between my mother and that gigantic tree. Her passion for the natural universe was nothing new to me, but that day in her eyes, I saw love.

Kenzo fu il primo stilista giapponese ad essere riconosciuto dal mondo, quasi irraggiungibile, della moda parigina degli anni 1970. Si trasferì a Parigi dal Giappone nel 1964 come designer freelance, e nel 1970 aprì il suo primo negozio chiamato " Jungle Jap ".

Kenzo fu il primo stilista giapponese ad essere riconosciuto dal mondo, quasi irraggiungibile, della moda parigina degli anni 1970. Si trasferì a Parigi dal Giappone nel 1964 come designer freelance, e nel 1970 aprì il suo primo negozio chiamato " Jungle Jap ".
