"Entire internet credits snapper for taking great pic while actually dead -- He was good, says bloke who really took it, but come on" -- Fascinating post about this photo's almost universal misattribution to Henri Cartier-Bresson; it's actually "A girl and a dog © Andrej Vasilenko." Crowdsourcing at its worst, alas...& a good example of why metadata should not be stripped from images. [Photo source: http://www.andrejvasilenko.com/index.php?/portraits/black--white/ ]

Wow.... I just accepted Nikita Khrushchev's "Shoe-banging incident" and the photo [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoe-banging_incident] as absolute. Nope. -- No agreement as to time, date, or cause, and "Though all parties are in agreement that Khrushchev was enraged...there are no photographic or video records of the incident available. There is at least one fake photographic depiction of the incident, where a shoe was added into an existing photograph."
